FUN MONDAY ("Quotes" is the theme)

How cool is it for me to be participating with Robin (http://www.pensieve.typepad.com/) on her Fun Monday challenge. This week, famous quotes, funny ones, serious, whatever kind is the theme. I have two I would like to share from British authors. Right now, everyone except my 9 year old seems to be going through adolescence, and the boys seem to be really hitting it pretty hard. The following quotes were found and suitable for our situation. Would these be ones you can identify with?

"Boys will be boys. And even that wouldn't matter if only we could prevent girls from being girls."
Anthony Hope Hawkins (1863-1933)

"The imagination of a boy is healthy, and the mature imagination of a man is healthy; but there is a space of life between, in which the soul is in a ferment, the character undecided, the way of life uncertain, the ambition thick-sighted: thence proceeds mawkishness."
John Keats (1795-1821)

Have a Fun Monday yourself!!!

Perfect, Peculiar. You don't have to "do" anything else; I'm sure people will hit your site and see these (b/c you're blog is linked in the post).

Be sure to visit other FM participants and leave them comments as well; they'll likely visit you in return (this is "part" of a "carnival"). I'll make a note that yours is posted now since I'm sure you had early visitors "looking" for your post.

GLAD YOU JOINED IN!!!

:)

Storyteller-You are so welcome. This is a great way to meet other bloggers and get acquainted. I love this idea. I'm new to blogging, so I don't yet know what all is out there. There are some really wonderful ideas to work with and make things more interesting.

Hey Alison, you mean the stress is no less with a girl? I have one who is just hitting puberty and one that is 9. The boys hit me first and oh my word!!!

Nekked Lizard Lady, I feel ya honey, although my husband would beg to differ. On optimal days, he's my MAN! Let's pray for more of those days huh:)

Patience-please, thank you very much. I have had fun today!!

Pamela,

I smiled when I saw your comment. My sister did the same thing yesterday. Then she understood why the author used the word "ferment." You're right; we're never too old to learn. I love learning new words. Thanks for stopping by!
