Robin over at http://www.pensieve.typepad.com/ is up for another challenge! She wants us to "join PENSIEVE early every Wednesday morning to pick up the current week's photo prompt. Inspired by what you see and how you interpret the picture, write:
- A 40-or-less-word caption
- A 40-or-less-word title
- A 40-or-less-word post
- A 40-or-less-word poem
- 40 or less syllables of either!
Short...sweet...and hopefully a lot of fun!"
Well, I'm up for the challenge. How about you? This is a great opportunity to ponder and express yourself by journaling a little bit. Trust me, it doesn't take long to come up with 40 words or less. Look out below for my own 40-word-caption of the picture and then click on the link above to see the picture.

Standing on top of the world,
the wind beneath my dress.
The swans pay tribute
crouched below.
I'm free I tell ya! My wavy hair
tumbles where it may; my arms stretch,
welcoming the wind and warmth to join me.
And that my dears, is all I have to say about that!
Join in and HAVE FUN!!

Oh, Peculiar, you certainly captured her "joie de vivre"! I wrote my VERY late last night and I can tell I was dragging! Yes, she's frozen in time and space, but she's so ALIVE! You captured that essence and I knew you'd write with energy and enthusiasm.
(on a different note, email your number to me and let's talk through your questions...I'll be leaving in a bit, so HURRY!) (if not this morning, SOON!) :)
Well thank ya girly girly. I do what I can with what I got, which isn't much, but I try to use it anyway:)
Talk to you later.
WOW! That was beautiful!
Very nice. I especially like the idea of asking the wind and warmth to join her.
Oh, that is just gorgeous!
Kim, thank you much!
Cheryl, that is my favorite line too because I'm cold-natured and I couldn't wait to welcome the good things of spring--warmth is one of them.
Mama Zen, thank you. Gorgeous is a really nice word to call my words.
Delightfully ‘fun’ interpretation today! I love the 1st line and the concept of ‘freedom’ with your ‘invitation’ to the wind and warmth. Just lovely!
Hugs and blessings,
Storyteller, thanks for stopping by. This was fun to try and interpret and write about. I like the warmth part too.
I like your idea of freedom and her arms stretching out in welcome :)
That's great! And that's all I have to say about that.
That is really beautiful.
Chris B, Thanks for stopping by and thanks for leaving a comment. Her arms just look like she knows she's free!
Carrie Sue, Thank you so much. I love the last line on my post. Reminds me of Forrest Gump.
Marmiteaandtea, thank you for stopping by. I enjoyed doing this.
Ditto. I REALLY like the idea; and the word-smithing re: welooming wind and warmth to join her! That really catches the ideas both of freedom; and of security.
P-I REALLY like both the idea and the 'word-smithing' of--welcoming both the wind and warmth to join her. Really speaks of both freedom and security! Cool!
The swans pay tribute... that's lovely.
Another way of putting life in this nice photo!
Well, if that is all you have to say about that....you said it very nicely indeed!
Thank you so much Karisma! I had fun with this.
